New Chalkboard Inspired Pins To Be Released Summer -Fall 2014

Disney seems to be continuing toward the theme of making very modern pins that are taking more of an artistic presence. With this turn they’re taking the design away from the simple, cute kid pins and more toward marketing to adults.

Personally, I like this, I love the style and I’m excited to see where they go next. But what do you guys think?

Hi! Do you know any online web that sell old pins?

eBay. Facebook (you can join pin trading groups and a lot of collectors sell pins there)

Other then that, you can always try advertizing here on Tumblr what you are looking for!

It’s important to understand when you buy those “cheap” lots off Ebay, these hideous things end up circling the pin community :(

I do not think I can ever stress enough, how hideous fake pins are compared to the real thing.

As my trip gets closer and closer, I will most likely become less and less active.

I am setting up my Queue so everyone will still be getting pin updates from the 27th - 31st; but I won’t be answering as many ask as normal.

I’ll be able to answer what I can and update when I’m at the hotel during the nights , but not much more then that.

I will miss you all so much while I am gone!!

There is only partial truth to this, in the early years (prior to 2007) Disney did use magnetic materials in their pins; but in the recent years many authentic pins are not made with the same materials and do not re-act at all to a magnet.

Older pins may react to a magnet, but now a-days that method of identifying an authentic pin from a fake is pretty useless.

Edit : This does not mean ALL pins prior to 2007 will be magnetic if it is authentic, sadly this is one of the flimsiest ways of finding an unauthentic pin.
